This old
lens
was sold for Braun Paxette cameras. This is
the second version of the Steinheil 50mm, due to aluminium much lighter
than the first version. The pictures were taken on an extremely bright
morning, just when the moisture rose into the air. So there might be
less contrast than usual. Wide open
it's soft towards the edges. Stopped down it's fine. At F16 you can see
what it is
capable of. It's
an astonishing little lens, nice, seen it's price.
The M39 Paxette Mount is the same thread as ordinary M39 (Leica), but
a different flange focal distance. Please refer to the Paxette
