This old
lens
was sold for Braun Paxette cameras. Wide open
it's sharp in the center, but soft towards the edges and there is a hint of vignetting. Stopped down it's
fine. It's a nice portrait lens, wide open there is an easy nice bokeh. It
has no close focusing capabilities. It's extremely
short
and lightweight, even if you add the adapters.
The M39 Paxette Mount is the same thread as ordinary M39 (Leica), but
a different flange focal distance. Please refer to the Paxette
lens page.
